On May 29, 2019 Lawyers Question Prince’s Former Bodyguard In Wrongful Death Lawsuit in the ongoing civil case filed by Prince heirs in August 2017.
Answering questions for seven hours, this is the second time Kirk Johnson has been deposed because he did not answer any questions the first time, citing the Firth Amendment. And he may be asked back for a third time to face additional questions by attorneys representing the defendants in the civil case.

Kirk Johnson appeared as a dancer in the 1984 Purple Rain movie. Even though Kirk Johnson was best man at Prince’s 1996 wedding to first wife Mayte Garcia, Kirk told Prince’s half brother Omarr Baker that he wished he had known Prince better. Whatever the case may be, Kirk was close enough to Prince as to leaving his empty prescription bottles around Paisley Park for some unspecified reasons.
Prince fans have questioned whether the two were getting along with each other. In the video below, Prince seems to be naming Kirk while covering a Bill Withers song, Use Me during one of his last performances in Toronto on March 25, 2016.

Agree with your comment. There is demonic energy, specifically in the music industry. Though Morrison, he changed after a serious head injury. It was revealed recently that he hit his head on the curb after a lunatic taxi driver punched him for riding his bike on the road. Morrison became a different, depressed and angry person, his friends and band members believe the incident was why he took his own life many years later.
I don’t know why but I seem to have been drawn to the attention of this situation I knew of prince and his music but did’nt follow it too much but I always knew of his genious talent. I have been drawn to the story of his death from what I can see he took Vitamin D, Korean Ginseng, was a vegan. I know he took other vitamins that I can’t recall and he did have a painkiller adfiction which he was seeking help for or so I believe. The question is how did he get the tablets that had synthetic Fentanyl? He did’nt know this if he did he would not been taking it. He thought he was taking Vicodin.
I think that’s the name if not apologies. How did he get this shit, its not as if he can go out and just buy it. For one it’s Prince, he just can’t go out and buy it. He would get someone to do it for him, surely that is obvious. What needs to be done is how did they get into his home, and who by – was it an accidental mix up of tablets or were they placed in those bottles made to look like something they wasn’t? And why would Prince buy shit that wasn’t what they were suppose to be? A deadly synthetic pill. Looking at the crime scene pictures that were released you can see a jacket dropped on the second floor landing as he made his way to the lift. What ever he took had effected him. He got into the lift and obviously collapsed in there. Hence the police marking a sick mark on the lift floor. I believe prince was trying to get diwnstairs to get some form of help. I really do, it is a real gutter because I don’t believe for one minute that a man who took vitamins and such, was a vegan, and was very aware of his health and body that he would intentionally take this powerful synthetic drug. The question has to be how did a fake sythetic drug get in that house and who put them in there. I hope that it does get resolved.
Makes sense after 2 people say they got calls from Prince the night before he died saying that they, then says Maury Phillips was trying to stuff pills down his throat and got a cut from Maurys watch and it was bleeding a lot.

I feel the need to add to my post, after reflecting even more it truly breaks my heart that Kirk was supposed to be Prince’s body guard. Prince considered his bodyguards his friends. Lines were blurred. There is no honor in the streets, it’s always about the next fix. Those rules of the streets don’t discriminate, if you have millions it doesn’t matter. Getting addicted to an opiate will rob you of all class, dignity, and any sense of morality. I know the context of that Bill Withers Song very well, and it seems to me that Prince was saying he liked the dynamic between him and Kirk, and he liked it because he was getting high. It’s taking me 3 years to accept that Prince had a serious problem. He was a master at hiding it. When I heard this song though it really confirmed it.
Never mind that he had no Fentenyl in his system from medical test the day before and the police said they did not think he knew what he was taking. I do not doubt he had a problem with Percocet but that is not what killed him.
Prince may started taking Vicoden because of hip pain, and hip replacement surgery.
I agree. It’s so sad Prince died the way he did. We lost a master, a for real Prince and I miss him and feel him gone from this planet he made better for everyone.

He was one of a kind and very much missed. Anyone can listen to a Prince song every day they haven’t heard before, that’s how many songs in every genre he wrote and played.
Prince helps me get thru my day, every day and I hate the fact the details of his death is public.
Fentanyl unfortunately kills SO many people every day. Dealers use it to make more money and they kill people with it every day.

I think Prince’s bodyguards should be held accountable, anyone getting pills off the street should know they’re usually not what you think they are.
Dealers “make” their own pills with incredibly strong and immediate deadly drugs. The mantra in Michigan near the metro Detroit area is, “kill your local drug dealer.”
There’s been so many friends and young people I’ve known who’ve had their lives ahead of them, taken away from scumbag dealers who put fentanyl in their sh*t to make an extra buck but destroy lives with no second thoughts unfortunately.
I love Prince very dearly for many many years, I just have this strong feeling that Kirk and Prince were kinda like partners in crime with the drug use. It seems to me that this song is implying they got high together and covered for each other. I was in denial about Prince being hooked for quit some time. Im sorry to offend anybody with my opinion. It just seems like that’s what happened. I’ve lost so many friends to overdoses, and I’ve learned birds of a feather flock together. Seems to me like they were doctor shopping and getting drugs from the streets as well. Laced pills are common in the street now a days,fake pressed ones too. With all off the deaths that I have had to endure, the cases are usual opened for homicide and then they are closed before any real headway is made. The opiate crisis is absolutely horrendous, and true justice is very rarely served. It just goes to show that no matter how much money you have in law enforcement and governments eyes you are just a number. RIP Prince you are my heart, gone to soon from this opiate epidemic.
I totally agree and have experienced the losses you have and people have zero clue how much help is out there for addicts, especially opiate addicts.
Prince would be still alive if he found a drug counselor and was prescribed Suboxone.
Prince was just in that period that pretty much all addicts go thru where they don’t want to seek help or think the medication to help with the literal crappy withdrawals and cravings is for them.
It’s such a waste, a shame and so many losses beyond words how many people die before their time because of a Doctor or a street dealer pressing their pills with deadly meds in them.
The past few years I’ve lost a lot of people who had problems and died from a lack of knowledge and a scumbag on the street selling STRONG laced pills that aren’t what they say they are.

It is widely known that Mark Metz wife is friends with Kirk Johnson. Therefore, many of Princes fams believe he is covering for Kirk Johnson. We all know Kirk is dirty and hiding something. We also know he planted pills in Prince’s house and bought Prince’s street made, fentanyl laced pills.

They are making millions off his name in death. Along with Mayte’s book, auctioning off Prince’s stuff she stole on the way out, bought a mansion in Las Vegas in 2919, tying her dance classes to Prince’s legacy using his music during classes. Started tons of her and Prince fake fan accounts. Making money off her rescue donations in the name of prince. He hadn’t spoken to her in decades. They weren’t even legally married. It was a commitment ceremony. Mayte calls Kirk (Kirky). Something very suspicious.

Kirk and Prince had a love and hate relationship. Kirk quit his job many times. Prince tried to get Theo London as new manager of Paisley Park. But Theo did not want the job and Prince needed somebody to do the job, so there was dependency on both sides.

I’ve been waiting for a long time on how Prince died. Nothing ever comes up on Yahoo, or anywhere else. I hope it gets resolved quickly.
This has been going on for over 3 years. Money is letting murderers walk around free. The police department and justice system there have let Prince and his true family, his fans, down. We’re need justice not more corruption. Arrest the murderers already, you know who they are!
They need to question the police chiefs who worked on the case first go around, because there were a lot of stones unturned if you have a brain and can clearly see the inconsistencies in the investigation files and the follow ups on questions when people who knew Prince pointed fingers at others. SMH. I pray for justice sooner than later, it won’t bring him back but atleast he’ll get to rest and so will us as a purple community.

My opinion, he was the one who planted all Princes meds through PP after Princes Death!!! Lawyers should just keep questioning him , till he FINALLY TELLS THE TRUTH on what he’s been HIDING!!! Don’t forget about the brother-in-law, Tyka’s husband. He needs to be questioned also. By the way, did prince have a cut on his body anywhere? I guess we wouldnt know since he was creamated so fast. By the way, Why did Tyka have him creamated so fast? By the way, he may have been leaving a clue with that written song, “You’ve Got The Look”, it was another Sister that tried to sue him about those lyrics. Maybe he was pointing out his sister Tyka. I’m praying that God will reveal his killers and this case is settled soon.
Yes, as I recall in investigation files, kirk had told Manuela he had cleared PP out of everything. So if he did, why did they find drugs all over the place. Why was he lying about that. Also, if prince went to Walgreens to get meds, why did he end up taking illegal drugs. What was the purpose of having prescription filled.
I also believe Sheila E. Has to know who told her Prince was moved to elevator. None of us would ever in our lifetime forget such a thing. So many underhanded things going on with his inner circle. Prince got more drugs off the street because whatever he got from a pharmacy wasn’t going to last and or be enough.
Any addict would do that.
Doctor shopping is extremely hard nowadays and maybe easier for Prince because he had money and people seeing doctors for him and to hook him up with the opiates that killed him. Anyone who hooked prince up has a big part in his death and should pay for their crimes.
To be clear, it was street drugs that killed Prince, not prescription opiates. Prescription opiates can also be secured, sold by those with access such as medical personell.
He didnot clear he placed pills all over the place and he shredded papers as fast as he could.
